Review of the public lecture of 2015 Future Star International Arts Festival

        The public lecture of 2015 Future Star International Arts Festival which was hold by Baotou Grand Theatre, Inner Mongolia Institute of Education, the Beijing Kodaly Society of Beijing Musicians Association and Beijing Eurovista Arts Promotion Co., Ltd. was successfully coming to an end. The Lectures were hold in a lot of primary school, high school and copy omega seamaster watches for divers universities in Beijing and nearly 400 musical educators were there. The lectures and performances provided a new perspective of the worldwide musical education.

        The executive chairman of the Turkish International Society of Music Education (2018) Uğur Alpagut has given two lectures on 13th Aug. in Baotou and on 15th Aug. in Beijing. Mr. Alpagut was the main speaker and the members of his team the Anatolian National Orchestra were presenting about the feature of the instruments they play swiss welcome watches fake cartier.         The explanation of the experts were with different features. The Baglama musician showed the various characters of the music from different regions and the Turkish flute musician presented different kinds of Turkish flutes with PowerPoint presentation while playing the instruments. The experts has shown not only the ethnic instrument, but also the exotic musical genre. The drummer combined teaching with playing together and showing vividly the seven-eighth, nine-eighth, eleven-eighth meters, which was very important in the Markham rhythm. Backed by the ethnic instruments the tenor’s singing bring the lecture to the peak.

The lectures of Sheila C. Woodward Ph.D. chairman of the ISME

        On 12th Aug. in Baotou and on 15th Aug. in Beijing Prof. Sheila C. Woodward Ph.D. presented the organization and the function of ISME. She also gave two lectures on the theme “The Musical Education in a global perspective” and “The Musical Education in the USA” in which she provided various possibilities, advantages and disadvantages of different perspectives. She encouraged the educators to be on the ground of the learners and children and to set the goal on the happiness and interest which the learners can get from the learning. She also emphasized that the teachers should improve abilities of themselves and try to see the music as a bridge between the educators and the learners. Prof. Woodward was also answering a number of questions about the music educational situation which was asked by the audiences. After the lecture a lot of teachers said that they’ve learnt a lot not only on the way of teaching but also on the way of thinking.

        Prof. Woodward advocated that the musical education should help the children by personality molds, knowing themselves and the development of creativity. She emphasized that musical education is never only a technically teaching. It always has massive influences on the whole life of a child.

The lectures of Prof. Xie Jiaxing president of the Musical Educational Community of CMA in Beijing Bayi School

 

        Besides Prof. Xie Jiaxing, who is the president of the Musical Educational Community of CMA , the professor of China Conservatory of Music, the ex-director of ISME, was also giving lectures on 12th Aug. in Baotou and on 15th Aug. in Beijing. The theme of the lectures were “How to be a music teacher in the future”. Prof. Xie was starting with the teaching method and current situation and then explaining the key points an educator should focus on. He emphasized the changing of the character of a music teacher and the influences of it. During the lecture the humorous words and rigorous thinking of Prof. Xie drew round after round of heartly applause. His hard working and contribution moved the audience deeply a well.

The lectures of Prof. Cho Hongky, chairman of the Korea Kodaly Society of choir

 

        Prof. Cho Hongky, the chairman of the Korea Kodaly Society was giving a master course on the theme “the Kodaly Practice of Sight-Singing” which lasted for 6 hours. The Course included solmization, body movements of each tones, the solmization by rhythm, tone stairway and other information of Kodaly Practice of Sight-Singing, for example the features, effects and application examples.

        However the theory has only taken a small part of the whole lecture, while Prof. Cho was leading the teachers to practice on troll, chorus, singing while doing other movement and etc. All of the practices promotes the coordination of eyes, ears and voices, the capacity of resisting disturbance and the short-term memory.

Performance in groups with self-arranged movements

 

        In the demonstration of Prof. Cho the body was like a xylophone, every tone has a position on the body of itself. To pat the corresponding position of the body really helps by remembering the pitch. Besides, every tone also has its corresponding item, for example, “Ti is the triangle of devil”. This kind of song with gestures motivates the imagination and memory of the children.

        The colorful and lively master course arouse the interest of the teachers. In that six hours every teacher was listening totally concentrated. After class the teachers were all reluctant to leave, as they were asking questions to Prof. Cho.
