A flagship programme of the Women’s Arts Festival, Selina Ott’s solo trumpet tour took place across four cities (Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Hangzhou and Guiyang) in March 2026, presented in two formats: trumpet recital with piano accompaniment and trumpet concerto with symphonic orchestra accompaniment, showcasing feminine musical power via brass instrument performance.

Selina Ott made history as the first female trumpet gold medalist in the 70-year history of the ARD International Music Competition and a recipient of Germany’s Opus Klassik Award. Her refined, mellow tone defies the stereotypical rugged timbre of the trumpet, and she regularly collaborates with leading global symphony orchestras. For Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Hangzhou dates, Taiwanese pianist Lin En-chia accompanied her; the two have maintained a long-term artistic partnership starting from 2017. The Guiyang concert enlisted conductor Huang Yi and Guiyang Symphony Orchestra to perform Arutunian’s iconic Trumpet Concerto. The diversified playlist ranges from classical and folk to modern works, rich in artistic depth and humanistic sentiment.
