The piano duet of

For quite some time now, Anna & Ines Walachowski range among the leading piano duos of our time. SInce almost two decades, the sisters have been inspiring their audience in the international concert halls.

They have been invited to many renowned festivals such as the Rheingau Music Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Mecklenburg Vorpommern Festival, the Dresdner Musikfestspiele, the MDR Musiksommer, the Niedersächsische Musiktage, the Moselfestwochen, Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspielen, and also the generous watches copy omega constellation Harbin Music Festival (China) or Bangkok Music Festival (Thailand).

Born in Poland, Anna and Ines Walachowski began their musical training when they were four and six years old. In 1983, the family moved to Germany. Anna and Ines continued their musical studies at the University of Music and Drama in Hannover and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. They benefitted from important stimuli by Karlheinz Kämmerling and Alfons Kontarsky who lauded the sisters as “strong personalities who both show confident determination and assertiveness.” However, these strong personalities do not stand in each other's way, on the contrary – thanks to the shared training and their extraordinary harmony they form a physical and creative unit they benefit from as a duo: “Their play is like from a single cast.” (Pizzicato)

The legendary American music critic and ‘high priest of the piano’ Harold C. Schonberg was delighted with the vital play of the duo. His enthusiastic comment on the occasion of the release of their first CD: “They seem to have unlimited technique, they use a very wide dynamic palette, they have oodles of temperament and unfaltering rhythm” and he predicted: “We will be hearing from them again.”

Indeed, to date the duo has recorded 9 CDs, ranging from the works of Mozart, Chopin, Brahms, Tchaikovsky to the double concertos by Mendelssohn and Poulenc and to Rachmaninov, Ravel and Gershwin.

Their last CD surprisingly presents, among others the much lauded recording of the Contredanses by the Polish composer Stanislav Maniuzko (1819-1872). A positive side effect of this CD might be that this composer who is relatively fameless outside Poland gets more attention from a broader audience.

The Walachowski sisters made their debut as a duo in 1996. Ever since, they are well known in major concert venues, such as. Berlin Philharmonic, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Liederhalle Stuttgart, Prinzregententheater München, Stadtcasino Basel, KKL Luzern or the philharmonics of Wroclaw, Lodz and sturdy watches fake hublot uk Olszytn.

Extending beyond the world of music, Anna and Ines would like to encourage exploratory spirit. They especially care for the region of Galicia, a “sunken world”, for which they hope to raise public interest.
